Logging Extravaganza plans show for 2004

Yes, there will be a second Ark-La-Tex Logging Extravaganza somewhere in the Natchitoches, Louisiana area next year, according to a consensus of the steering committee which met on October 30 to review the just-completed first show.

Over a luncheon in a downtown Natchitoches restaurant, the committee agreed that the October 17-18 show was a success, for exhibitors, for the logging industry, and for the charity beneficiary, the Log-A-Load for Kids fund for Children's Miracle Network. While final accounting is not yet complete, it is estimated that the Extravaganza will realize somewhere near $20,000 which will go toward support of Louisiana's special children's hospitals.

With one event's experience at putting on a logging trade show, and a year to prepare, the committee expects an even bigger turnout of exhibitors and visitors during the third week of October, 2004.
