Day set June 19 Precision Forestry is the theme for the 2003 Annual East Texas Forestry Field Day at the Agricultural Research & Extension Center, Overton, Texas on June 19, 2003. Precision Forestry uses the latest technology sensing and analytical tools to collect highly accurate, repeatable measurements, actions, and processes of forested landscapes that are critical in making smart, sustainable management decisions that support site-specific, economic, and environmental concerns. Precision Forestry is critical in today's forestry sector as it provides valuable information and linkages between resource managers and processors. The 2003 Annual East Texas Forestry Field Day will bring together scientists to present state-of-the-art information on topics such as precision sensing techniques, field measurement techniques and their use for decision-making. Registration is $15.00 and you can R.S.V.P at http://extensionforestry.tamu.edu Make sure to check out TREEvents.tamu.edu for more educational opportunities from the forestry sector.
