Loggers Hall of Fame Nominations Invited

Nominations for the second annual induction into the Louisiana Loggers Hall of Fame are invited by The Piney Woods Journal, sponsor of the Hall.

The induction will be held later this year, at a time and location to be announced, said Tom Kelly, Publisher of The Piney Woods Journal.

To submit a nomination, write a summary of the Logger's career and life work in the forest industry, and mail to Hall of Fame, c/o The Piney Woods Journal, P.O Box 190, Dodson LA 71422. Include a photograph if one is available. It will be returned to the owner after reproduction for use in the induction.

The Hall will select approximately five new honorees each year, and announcement will be made in The Piney Woods Journal. At the first annual induction last year, Loggers honored were Glenn Futch of Winnfield, J.A. Auger of Farmerville, Pie Martinez of Zwolle, Eugene Hubbard of Winnfield, and J.L. Allen of Joyce.
