Journal archives donated to NSU Bound volumes of The Piney Woods Journal for the years 1997 through 2007 have been donated to the Cammie G. Henry Research Center, Watson Memorial Library, at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, it is announced by founder and publisher Tom Kelly, who is a 1959 graduate of NSU. The volumes were accepted for the NSU archives by archivist Mary Linn Wernet at the Research Center. Mission of the NSU libraries is to serve teaching, research, and public service needs of faculty, students, and the public. The Cammie G. Henry Research Center collects, preserves, and makes available research manuscripts and published material relating to the history and culture of the area in the original boundaries of the region. Other complete archives of The Piney Woods Journal are on file with the Louisiana Collection at Tulane University Library in New Orleans, and at The Piney Woods Journal office, 104 North Third Street in Dodson, Louisiana. |
