Forest management headquarters for Plum Creek timber Company is now located in Crossett, Arkansas, from its former headquarters in West Monroe, according to Brent Stinnett, manager.

The move was completed late in 2001, after the sale of Plum Creek's former manufacturing plants in Joyce, Louisiana and Huttig Arkansas, to West Fraser South, Inc., a division of West Fraser, British Columbia, Canada.

Plum Creek forestry management and logging operations continue at Joyce and Huttig, where Plum Creek furnishes timber under contract to West Fraser.

Plum Creek acquired the former timber lands of The Timber Company, subsidiary of Georgia Pacific, last year, including about one million acres in Southern Arkansas, in the Crossett area which Plum Creek has now relocated.
