Weyerhaeuser names Dodson mill manager; Timberlands VP Kathy Willoughby is the new plant manager for the Weyerhaeuser Dodson iLevel Lumber Technologies manufacturing facility, the company announced. Ms. Willoughby brings 23 years of service with the Weyerhaeuser organization to this new role. She is also a veteran with service in the Army in the 612 Air Delivery Company as a member of the deployment team that supported the 82nd Airborne division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina from 1975 through 1978. Her work experience with Weyerhaeuser Company includes Plant Manager of the Wright City Lumber Technologies facility in Wright City, Oklahoma, and Mill Superintendent of the Plymouth Lumber Technologies facility in Plymouth, North Carolina. During her years of service with Weyerhaeuser Company, Ms. Willoughby's work experience at the Wright City facility also included Maintenance Manager, Production Supervisor and Millwright. Kathy is relocating to the Dodson area from Garvin, Oklahoma. She is originally from Oklahoma and has an undergraduate degree in Industrial Technology from Oklahoma State University. Ms. Willoughby succeeds David West as Plant Manager at the Dodson facility. In another personnel announcement, Weyerhaeuser Company has announced that Rhonda Hunter was named vice president, Southern Timberlands effective June 1. In her new role, Hunter will oversee the operation of 4.1 million acres of timberlands in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and Oklahoma. She will report to Mike Branson, senior vice president, Timberlands. Hunter succeeds Tom Holmes who will return to Canada and plans to retire later this year. "In addition to our outstanding timberlands assets, this region also represents a significant opportunity for revenue growth from minerals, oil and gas and biofuels," Branson said. Hunter joined Weyerhaeuser in 1987 and has held numerous accounting and finance positions in addition to serving as the Arkansas/Oklahoma regional manager before assuming her current role as director of planning and inventory for Southern Timberlands. |
