CENLA forum in Alexandria January 27 announces Crain

The third annual Cenla Forestry Forum has been announced for Tuesday, January 20 in Alexandria, according to Barry Crain, Area Agent for Wildlife and Forestry, Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service.

The annual forum, planned for forest landowners, foresters, loggers, and others connected with the forest industry, will be held at the Best Western Inn, North MacArthur Drive, Alexandria, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Speakers from a variety of forestry related specialties will discuss issues of interest to landowners and forestry professionals, on the theme ``Importance of Taxes, Management, and Assistance Programs in Forest Management.''

Habitat enhancement for wildlife: Don Reed, Assistant Specialist, forestry and wildlife, LSU AgCenter, and John Pitre, wildlife biologist, NRCS.
