Product EXPO scheduled by SFPA in Atlanta June 25-27 The 27th Forest Products Machinery & Equipment Exposition - EXPO 2003 - offers educational opportunities to attendees. Twenty-three seminars, co-sponsored by the Forest Products Society and the Southern Forest Products Association, will be offe red in conjunction with EXPO 2003, set for June 25 - 27 (Wednesday through Friday) at Atlanta's Georgia World Congress Center. EXPO 2003 will be an extensive d isplay of forest products and machinery and equipment, technology and services, representing the full range of forest products - lumber, structural panels, engineered wood products, pallets, treating, forest and land management, as well as secondary proce ssing. On Wednesday, June 25, EXPO attendees can select seminars with subjects ranging from co-generation of power to power distribution systems. On Thursday, June 26, topics range from automated grading of Southern Pine to mold. Concluding seminars on Fri day, June 27 delve into new product development, quality control, and mill safety issues. "These seminars are designed to complement the displays of machinery and equipment, offering practical information that can have a direct impact on an attendee's operation," comments exposition director Tami Kessler. Some 250 companies are expected to showcase their latest products and services within 100,000 square feet of exhibits in the newest hall at the Georgia's World Congress Center. The Forest Products EXPO, he ld every two years, is sponsored and conducted by the Southern Forests Products Association. Once again, the show will be conducted in cooperation with the APA - The Engineered Wood Association. An international promotional campaign is underway to attra ct attendees.
